The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Birger Lindmark mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pacmans and the Rosenfors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Birger Lindmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarl Näfver hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Pacmans's Bernt Berggren got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 9 played minutes, Rosenfors's Kristian Lundin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Verner Lidman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rosenfors reached it. Sven-Edvin Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Lidman having to interfere. Albert Karlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Verner Lidman made a huge save. Verner Lidman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Karlberg in the 14th minute. A collision led to Pacmans getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jan-Olof Vallin hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Sven-Edvin Gustafsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rosenfors's Albert Karlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Edvin Gustafsson took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Verner Lidman. Verner Lidman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Rosenfors's Gilbert Kjellman got a free kick in the 35th minute. Verner Lidman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Karlberg in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Tor Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A well placed Sven-Edvin Gustafsson short distance shot in the 48th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Pacmans's Verner Lidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Gustafsson in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Pacmans getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bernt Berggren hit a great ball. Verner Lidman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Verner Lidman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Karlberg in the 74th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Rosenfors's goalkeeper Jens-Erik Hägert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Heggert. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Sven-Edvin Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosenfors's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Edvin Gustafsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Verner Lidman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albert Karlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Edvin Gustafsson in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Verner Lidman saved Pacmans from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Konrad Fernström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 92nd minute, Tomas Heggert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pacmans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 99 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Rosenfors's Torbjörn Gadd fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Rosenfors's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
