The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Torrent showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Hönö FF's goal looked a bit too open when Egon Esbjörnsson came free, but Tommy Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tännäs's Zeledon Torrent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Tännäs from getting a goal against them. Tommy Willig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Rantamäki in the 35th minute of play. Tännäs's Egon Esbjörnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Jonathan Rudberg in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tännäs's Lennart Thorsberg. Yuri Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Willig having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthias Sjöström during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tännäs booed when Hönö FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Soned didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Egon Esbjörnsson in the 90thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Tommy Willig had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tännäs had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
