Mellbystrand's Karl Abrahamsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Mellbystrand from getting a goal against them. Karl Abrahamsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rutger Drewitz in the 13th minute. Rutger Drewitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Abrahamsson having to interfere. Amykos Katsafanas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the game, Roland Hydén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellbystrand's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heroes of Newerth the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Mellbystrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Hydén to maneuver through the defense. Rutger Drewitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Karl Abrahamsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Ferm was the one to do the kick off. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 95th play minute Frank Ferm came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabian Lilja. 2-1. The Heroes of Newerth players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
