Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Esbjörn Hammarbäck took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo-Erik Lund during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bo-Erik Lund hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Börje Skytt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Smygehamn RK defense, Börje Skytt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ragnar Berg. The Smygehamn RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ragnar Berg should have stopped the shot. Ragnar Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egil Eliasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A hard shot 12 in the game by Esbjörn Hammarbäck from a close distance when the talented Joakim Asplund managed to make a qualified save. Bergby IK's players were relieved. Michael Forss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Asplund having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Egil Eliasson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bergby IK and the Smygehamn RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Smygehamn RK booed when Bergby IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Smygehamn RK's Michael Forss got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Esbjörn Hammarbäck notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bergby IK's Joakim Asplund. Joakim Asplund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the match, Smygehamn RK's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Mellbad came free, but Ragnar Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Bergby IK got a freekick which was hit by Klas Lundberg. Esbjörn Hammarbäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joakim Asplund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Ulf Mellbad hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Esbjörn Hammarbäck struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Joakim Asplund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smygehamn RK. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Börje Skytt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esbjörn Hammarbäck in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joakim Asplund saved Bergby IK from getting behind. Smygehamn RK's Michael Forss got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 57 in the game by Ulf Mellbad from a close distance when the talented Ragnar Berg managed to make a qualified save. Smygehamn RK's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Bergby IK defense, Esbjörn Hammarbäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joakim Asplund. The Bergby IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joakim Asplund should have stopped the shot. Joakim Asplund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Forss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egil Eliasson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Esbjörn Hammarbäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joakim Asplund was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Joakim Asplund came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Smygehamn RK's Esbjörn Hammarbäck. But to his dismay, Esbjörn Hammarbäck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. In the 81st minute, Michael Forss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Håkan Valler made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Smygehamn RK's Philip Gråberg. In the 88th match minute, Bergby IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egil Eliasson to maneuver through the defense. Esbjörn Hammarbäck took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joakim Asplund. Joakim Asplund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1.
