Lucas Lundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ola Pedersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Hubert Valström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Lundberg having to make a save. Lucas Lundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ola Pedersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johannes Olofsson tried in the 9th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Lucas Lundberg a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. If Jens-Ola Pedersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nils Sandwall came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Yxlan FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Sandwall couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Hubert Valström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils Sandwall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albin Hedman charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Hedman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Åtorp IFK got a freekick which was hit by Albin Hedman. After having played for 28 minutes, Henning Skog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åtorp IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henning Skog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Nils Sandwall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Yxlan FF getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Andréas Wennerlund hit a great ball. If Rune Stolpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Hubert Valström came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Yxlan FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hubert Valström couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Åtorp IFK's zone, Nils Sandwall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Lundberg came out of the goal and Nils Sandwall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Yxlan FF booed when Åtorp IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Hedman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Ola Pedersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henning Skog to make the kick off. Lucas Lundberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Sandwall in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Åtorp IFK defense, Rune Stolpe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Lundberg. The Åtorp IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Lundberg should have stopped the shot. Anton Fernkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Henning Skog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Björklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Valström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 minutes of play Åtorp IFK's Albin Hedman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Åtorp IFK getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Albin Hedman hit a great ball.
