With a little luck, IFK Göteborg's Tom Eriksson got control of the ball when Claes Drewitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Garsås booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Lundkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Molander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Eriksson having to interfere. Tom Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Molander in the 13th minute of the match. Claes Drewitz scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tom Eriksson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tobias Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Garsås's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Nässén came free, but Mats Josefsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When Tobias Göransson fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garsås's protests and gave Tobias Göransson a yellow card for diving instead. Tobias Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes into the game, Allan Nässén lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Mats Josefsson. In the 61st minute, Claes Drewitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Eriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to Garsås getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Wilhelm Kollberg hit a great ball. Tom Eriksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel Molander went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 85th match minute, Garsås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Mickelsson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Garsås's Samuel Molander got a free kick in the 89th minute. When Claes Drewitz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Garsås fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claes Drewitz couldn't finish the play. Garsås's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
