An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Skytt in the 10th minute of play forced Sköndal IF's goalkeeper Torsten Lundblad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, Sköndal IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Dahlman to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Viktor Utfal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AIK Stockholm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sköndal IF the free kick. AIK Stockholm's Joakim Viklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save AIK Stockholm from getting a goal against them. When Cezmi Emrettin fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AIK Stockholm's protests and gave Cezmi Emrettin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AIK Stockholm getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Cezmi Emrettin hit a great ball. In the 37th minute Alfred Holmstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Lundblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sköndal IF's Sven-Oskar Pettersson got a free kick in the 39th minute. It was beautiful to see AIK Stockholm's Alfred Holmstedt in action when he in the 41st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After the first half AIK Stockholm were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henky Sahuleka made a kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 61 played minutes Sköndal IF got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Josefsson. 66 minutes into the match, Sköndal IF's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Holmstedt came free, but Torsten Lundblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes AIK Stockholm's Viktor Utfal stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Torsten Lundblad stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Sköndal IF of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, AIK Stockholm's Alfred Holmstedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torsten Lundblad narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
