Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ulrik Rudqvist got the match started through his kick off. Lycksele's Åke Björk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hampus Winström in the 6th minute of play. Otto Cane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 played minutes Mariestad RK got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Telin. When Ulrik Rudqvist came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Lycksele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulrik Rudqvist couldn't finish the play. Simon Nykvist came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elliott Berg could save by the left post. Edvin Enegren was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Lycksele:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mariestad RK:s goal. Ragnar Jelm shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hampus Winström made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Mariestad RK's Hampus Winström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Åke Björk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 58 played minutes Mariestad RK got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Dahlbom. In the 62nd minute, Simon Nykvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes, Sixten Fågel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lycksele and the Mariestad RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sixten Fågel kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Otto Cane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Björk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Simon Nykvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Elliott Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Nykvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliott Berg having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jens-Ove Björk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Åke Björk. That made the score 1-5 in the 79 minute of play. Ulf Dahlbom hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Lycksele's Åke Björk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hampus Winström in the 89th minute of play. Elliott Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Nykvist in the 98th minute of the match. Åke Björk made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Hampus Winström sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mariestad RK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
