A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 7 minutes into the match, Bromölla IF's goalkeeper Einar Termander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Vennerström. Einar Termander made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Lars Vennerström sent off a good shot on target. Bromölla IF's Einar Termander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Bromölla IF from getting a goal against them. Björn Skoglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tales Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Skoglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Bromölla IF's Andréas Tinglöv got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Karl-Ove Myr cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Einar Termander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bromölla IF's Andréas Tinglöv got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Holmgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tales Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. If Andréas Tinglöv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andréas Tinglöv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Moreira having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Lars Vennerström charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lars Vennerström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lars Vennerström hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The supporters of Bromölla IF booed when Virestad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Ek didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andréas Tinglöv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Virestad's goalkeeper Tales Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonas Holmgren charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Holmgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 63 minutes, Lars Vennerström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Virestad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Vennerström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Andréas Tinglöv left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bromölla IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 74th minute Karl-Ove Myr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Termander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Lars Vennerström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einar Termander was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Einar Termander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Ove Myr, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Bromölla IF's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Hjortsberg came free, but Einar Termander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Andréas Tinglöv sped through Virestad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tales Moreira. Andréas Tinglöv struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Tales Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bromölla IF. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
