The crowd rose to their feet as Istanbul 1453's Sören Hjortsberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrik Matsson. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Silvestre Tome fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IF Elfsborg's protests and gave Silvestre Tome a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, IF Elfsborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Tome to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute 郝希岩 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rutger Dalberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Istanbul 1453's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Brun came free, but Rutger Dalberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
