Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gábor Fülep started the match with the kick off. Rikard Östman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Karl Fernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Sundling kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. BK Salem's Rikard Östman got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Fernström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Max, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Torbjörn Svensson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Rikard Östman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl Fernström having to make a save. Göran Jonasson's late challenge caught a BK Salem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Göran Jonasson helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Åre BK! Rikard Östman placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Karl Fernström came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by BK Salem's Aron Biörkman. But to his dismay, Aron Biörkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Åre BK's zone, Gábor Fülep stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Fernström came out of the goal and Gábor Fülep tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jens-Ove Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Isaac Rydberg in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BK Salem's Aron Biörkman. Karl Fernström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peder Kellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jens-Ove Norberg scored 0-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Fernström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Gábor Fülep left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Salem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Thorsberg to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Åre BK's Björn Brenner got a free kick in the 51st minute. Rikard Östman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Karl Fernström made a huge save. Rikard Östman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Fernström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Gábor Fülep sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Åre BK's Roger Grönberg got a free kick in the 58th minute. Rikard Östman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Karl Fernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rikard Östman scored 0-6 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Fernström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Karl Fernström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gábor Fülep received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl Fernström came out and tried to block the shot, but Gábor Fülep slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peder Kellbom got free with Karl Fernström in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gábor Fülep fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Fernström having to interfere. When Peder Kellbom came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the BK Salem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peder Kellbom couldn't finish the play. If Gábor Fülep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 minutes, Roger Grönberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åre BK and the BK Salem players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karl Fernström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rikard Östman in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Maximo Max recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Karl Fernström. Maximo Max showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. BK Salem's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
