Axel Holmstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Nordgren in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, George Magnusson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resby IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. After 24 played minutes Resby IF got a freekick which was hit by George Magnusson. In the 26th minute, Adam Andronache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Resby IF's Axel Holmstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliksas Asauskas in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Per-Erik Nordgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Axel Holmstedt was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. A collision led to Resby IF getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Adrian Björkdal hit a great ball. When Per-Erik Nordgren came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Erik Nordgren couldn't finish the play. Axel Holmstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliksas Asauskas in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Per-Erik Nordgren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Axel Holmstedt. Per-Erik Nordgren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Per-Erik Nordgren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Axel Holmstedt came out and tried to block the shot, but Per-Erik Nordgren slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 91st minute. Adam Andronache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Resby IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Barcelona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
