The crowd rose to their feet as Vittskövle's Christian Fagerberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Karl-Erik Kjellqvist. That made the score 1-1 after 14 minutes of play. Georg Målare scored 1-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gottfrid Sjödin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stefan Ahlqvist took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gottfrid Sjödin. Gottfrid Sjödin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Fagerberg in the 26th minute of play forced FC Stella Artois's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Kjellqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Hultstrand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Karl-Erik Kjellqvist made a huge save. If Georg Målare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Olle Rydberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gottfrid Sjödin was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. When Tommy Ahlqvist fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vittskövle's protests and gave Tommy Ahlqvist a yellow card for diving instead.
