When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jens-Ola Fågel sped through Manchester United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Szczepan Gaszynski. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Nicklas Pihlgren hit a great ball. Henrik Löv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Browall to maneuver through the defense. Szczepan Gaszynski made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Måns Sundberg sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Henrik Löv had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otto Söderquist. Hajom BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrik Löv was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Saul Jakes's late challenge caught a Hajom BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Jakes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Saul Jakes hit a great ball. Elias Törnkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ola Fågel came free, but Szczepan Gaszynski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrik Löv took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto Söderquist. Otto Söderquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Hajom BF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manchester United were winning 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Ola Fågel made a kick off. The supporters of Hajom BF booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Melin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otto Söderquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Löv in the 61st minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Hajom BF's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Jakes came free, but Otto Söderquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes Hajom BF got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Edström. The supporters of Hajom BF booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Melin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Manchester United's Roland Alebom got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Elias Törnkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Törnkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otto Söderquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ola Fågel in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Szczepan Gaszynski saved Manchester United from getting behind. Manchester United were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Hajom BF's much stronger midfield.
