The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Walter Kihlman hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Mörsil FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Broberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kennet Mickelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nils-Erik Mossberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Mickelsson having to interfere. Kennet Mickelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Gabrielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
