Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Matthias Pilberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the match, Nittorp's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Emil Ferm came free, but Rutger Soned reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute of the match Jarkko Jatkola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rutger Soned showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nils-Emil Ferm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rutger Soned having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils-Emil Ferm in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rutger Soned prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Nittorp's goal looked a bit too open when Thor Abrahamsson came free, but Rutger Soned reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Emil Strömbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Arvid Månsson made a huge save. Russ Pickering hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Matthias Pilberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils-Emil Strömbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Arvid Månsson made a huge save. RCD Espanyol's Arvid Månsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Pilberg in the 45th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils-Emil Strömbom got free with Arvid Månsson in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thor Abrahamsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to RCD Espanyol getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Russ Pickering hit a great ball. Arvid Månsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Erik Martinsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Dan Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Månsson having to interfere. After 56 minutes of play, Nittorp's Nils-Erik Martinsson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arvid Månsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nils-Emil Strömbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Arvid Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nils-Emil Strömbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Matthias Pilberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arvid Månsson was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 83 played minutes RCD Espanyol got a freekick which was hit by Russ Pickering. If Nils-Emil Strömbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Strömbom in the 87th minute of play forced RCD Espanyol's goalkeeper Arvid Månsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils-Emil Ferm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rutger Soned read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the RCD Espanyol players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nittorp.
