Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hans Helberg kicked off to start the match. When Hans Helberg came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Motala City IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Helberg couldn't finish the play. Hans Helberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Lukas Linberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Svanström in the 18th minute of play forced Motala City IF's goalkeeper Torgny Haegg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Motala City IF's Hans Helberg got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mikael Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Linberg having to interfere. Torgny Haegg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Bryngelsson in the 27th minute of the match. Torgny Haegg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egil Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patric Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Egil Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Helberg in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lukas Linberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Bryngelsson in the 44th minute of play forced Motala City IF's goalkeeper Torgny Haegg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egil Jakobsson to make the kick off. Torgny Haegg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Göran Mattsson. Patric Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Egil Jakobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Haegg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Motala City IF getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Mikael Johansson hit a great ball. Torgny Haegg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Jonsson in the 64th minute of the match. Costin Bolcaș hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Douglas Mogren shot from long distance in the 68th minute, but Torgny Haegg was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 69 minutes into the game, Egil Jakobsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Torgny Haegg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Motala City IF getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Hans Helberg hit a great ball. Stefan Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Linberg having to interfere. Walter Bryngelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Torgny Haegg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chants of Heby echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Motala City IF had held the ball for most of the match.
