In the 32nd minute of the match Pär Finman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernst Drewitz skillfully saved the ball. The Hovmantorp players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Näsets SK were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andréas Boman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Brian Sandström fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Näsets SK's protests and gave Brian Sandström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Brian Sandström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the game, John Nässén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Claes Lindberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Hovmantorp's zone, Klas Sandberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernst Drewitz came out of the goal and Klas Sandberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the game, Stig-Arne Falkrans threw the ball into play from the sideline. Näsets SK's Edmund Löfgren quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Edmund Löfgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klas Sandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Drewitz having to interfere. Claes Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Boman in the 71st minute of play. Hovmantorp's Ernst Drewitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Hovmantorp from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klas Sandberg got free with Ernst Drewitz in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernst Drewitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nils-Åke Andreasson went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Klas Sandberg succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. A hard shot 97 in the game by Klas Sandberg from a close distance when the talented Ernst Drewitz managed to make a qualified save. Hovmantorp's players were relieved. When the final whistle sounded Näsets SK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hovmantorp.
