After some careless play in the Gemla defense, Joakim Drewitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sune Täman. The Gemla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sune Täman should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Gemla's Karim Rouzier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Stabbe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sune Täman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Forss, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Lustig in the 16th minute of play forced Gemla's goalkeeper Sune Täman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Paul Smitt had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 19 played minutes Gemla got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Tavares. Ivan Forss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ingvar Lustig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vittinge IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Lustig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sune Täman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Peter Stabbe made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Eduardo Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Stabbe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Rouzier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Eduardo Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aaron Eklund kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Eduardo Tavares took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Stabbe. Peter Stabbe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karim Rouzier in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Stabbe saved Vittinge IF from getting behind. 61 minutes into the game, Eduardo Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Peter Stabbe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Hjortberg during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hans Hjortberg kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Charles Wahlström sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Sune Täman threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Charles Wahlström this time. Karim Rouzier spun around in front of the goal 70 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Vittinge IF's goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vittinge IF's zone, Karim Rouzier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Stabbe came out of the goal and Karim Rouzier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Vittinge IF getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Joakim Drewitz hit a great ball. Vittinge IF's Peter Stabbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Rouzier in the 75th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Karim Rouzier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Stabbe. Vittinge IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karim Rouzier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The supporters of Gemla booed when Vittinge IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Forss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Tavares in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Stabbe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Stabbe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Rouzier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Stabbe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Gemla's Eduardo Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dick Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sune Täman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Forss in the 96th minute. Gemla's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
