The audience thought a goal was coming when Niklas Delin got free with Şerif Sahadettin in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Bank during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alvar Vallgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joseph Nordin in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şerif Sahadettin saved Malmö FF from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Nordin in the 41st minute of play forced Malmö FF's goalkeeper Şerif Sahadettin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Şerif Sahadettin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 47 minutes into the match, Malmö FF's goalkeeper Şerif Sahadettin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niklas Delin. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joseph Nordin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alvar Vallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Kim Rosen charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kim Rosen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 87 minutes into the match, Jan-Olof Isaksson sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gunnar Eriksson threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Jan-Olof Isaksson this time. Jan-Olof Isaksson hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Niklas Delin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
