Nicklas Gregersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Bäck having to interfere. Bo Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Joensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dynamo Stockholm's Yngve Persson got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wawrzyniec Kaczanek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Bäck having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Hampus Danielsson put in a rough tackle. In the 25th minute Bengt Joensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Sickla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Hellström to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Sonny Bergström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dynamo Stockholm's supporters rose to their feet, but Sonny Bergström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bo Andreasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 played minutes Sickla FC got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Bengtsson. 30 minutes into the match, Sickla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Joensson came free, but Bo Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Sonny Bergström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bo Andreasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bo Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Bergström in the 38th minute of the match. Torsten Bäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Östensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sonny Bergström kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Dan Östensson made a precise shot to the right of Torsten Bäck. Dynamo Stockholm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicklas Gregersson made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sickla FC's Nicklas Gregersson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torsten Bäck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bo Andreasson was a little too slow when Sonny Bergström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 2-2. Bo Andreasson was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Bengt Joensson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bengt Joensson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Bengt Joensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Sickla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Hellström to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Morgan Nyman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bo Andreasson skillfully saved the ball. When David Hallgren came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Dynamo Stockholm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Hallgren couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Bergström in the 67th minute of play forced Sickla FC's goalkeeper Bo Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sickla FC's Bo Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Bergström in the 68th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Sickla FC got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Bengtsson. If Geoffrey Brandenberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sickla FC's Bo Andreasson got control of the ball when David Hallgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Hallgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Bo Andreasson made a huge save. The supporters of Sickla FC booed when Dynamo Stockholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Bergström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bo Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Bergström, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yngve Persson got free with Bo Andreasson in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sonny Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Bergström in the 91st minute of play forced Sickla FC's goalkeeper Bo Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Geoffrey Brandenberger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sickla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geoffrey Brandenberger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dynamo Stockholm's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
