Claes Bergendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Svartå RK's Bengt Fristedt in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 15th match minute, Svartå RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Bäcklin to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes, Svante Ödmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gräsmark and the Svartå RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Gräsmark got a freekick which was hit by Svante Ödmann. Svartå RK were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Gräsmark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lennart Bäcklin took the corner. Lennart Bäcklin made a great header on Svartå RK's corner, it was just that Gräsmark's Michel Nordlund managed to reach the ball for a save. Per-Åke Andreasson hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Gräsmark's Hannes Stålberg got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kent Olenberg charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Olenberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mikael Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Nordlund having to interfere. In the 40th minute Bengt Fristedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Nordlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Svartå RK's Bengt Fristedt got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hannes Stålberg was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Berggren in the 51st minute of play forced Gräsmark's goalkeeper Michel Nordlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ludwig Gullesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonard Nordin charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonard Nordin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gräsmark booed when Svartå RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Nordin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gräsmark's Sten Stål couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Svartå RK. Sebastian Bergstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Stålberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hannes Stålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kent Olenberg was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Svartå RK booed when Gräsmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Olenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Svartå RK got a corner. Gräsmark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lennart Bäcklin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Gräsmark's goalie and right to Bengt Fristedt. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Gräsmark's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Michel Nordlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Berggren, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bengt Fristedt took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michel Nordlund. Michel Nordlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Svartå RK's Leonard Nordin got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Svartå RK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gräsmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
