The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Conny Vidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conny Vidman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Sebastian Bergstedt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Svartå RK's Sebastian Bergstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Hylander in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hässelby's goalkeeper Kim Pååk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Hässelby getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tomas Hammarström hit a great ball. When Mikael Berggren came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Svartå RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Berggren couldn't finish the play. Sten Samuelsson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 19 played minutes, Svartå RK's Lennart Bäcklin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kim Pååk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Svartå RK reached it. 25 minutes into the match, Hässelby's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Fristedt came free, but Kim Pååk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bengt Fristedt came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Svartå RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Fristedt couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Mikael Berggren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Bergstedt made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Conny Vidman sent off a good shot on target. Mikael Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Pååk having to interfere. If Bengt Fristedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Samuelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sten Samuelsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Bengt Fristedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conny Vidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sebastian Bergstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ted Hylander made a kick off. Kim Pååk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Fristedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Karl-Johan Göransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 56 minutes, Conny Vidman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hässelby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conny Vidman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes Svartå RK got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Nordin. 59 minutes into the game, Leonard Nordin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Svartå RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hässelby the free kick. In the 59th minute, Leonard Nordin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Hässelby's Jan-Åke Viklund broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ted Hylander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Bergstedt having to interfere. In the 64thth minute of the game Conny Vidman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Svartå RK's Sebastian Bergstedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Svartå RK's Sebastian Bergstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Vidman in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Hässelby's goalkeeper Kim Pååk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikael Berggren. In the 74th minute, Bengt Fristedt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. August Bohlin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Conny Vidman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Bergstedt having to make a save. After having played for 84 minutes, Mikael Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svartå RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikael Berggren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svartå RK's Sebastian Bergstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Vidman in the 86th minute of play. Mikael Berggren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kim Pååk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Svartå RK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hässelby.
