After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nils-Åke Grelsson made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Åtvidaberg's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Åke Grelsson came free, but Olof Blomqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Sundén in the 80th minute of play forced Storlien IK's goalkeeper Eric Kvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Åtvidaberg's zone, Nils-Åke Grelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olof Blomqvist came out of the goal and Nils-Åke Grelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Åtvidaberg's Aleksander Sundén got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
