Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jan-Erik Wickander started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Daniel Nässén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Västerljung's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Upphärad the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Västerljung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Nässén to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Malcolm Nyström managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Upphärad's zone, Tony Kihlman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Vallman came out of the goal and Tony Kihlman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Vallman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Kihlman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Västerljung's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Wickander came free, but Freddie Wenerdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Arvidsson charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Arvidsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan-Erik Wickander might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddie Wenerdahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Erik Wickander ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddie Wenerdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl Malmberg in the 31st minute. Jan-Erik Wickander struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Freddie Wenerdahl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Upphärad. Mathias Helberg charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathias Helberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 40 minutes into the match, Upphärad's Bo Kjellkvist broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Jan-Erik Wickander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Tony Kihlman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerljung's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Kihlman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Vallman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Stephansson's late challenge caught a Västerljung's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Stephansson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Upphärad getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jonas Stephansson hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Joacim Wikander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerljung's supporters rose to their feet, but Joacim Wikander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Vallman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Erik Wickander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddie Wenerdahl having to make a save. Elof Ahlberg's late challenge caught a Upphärad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elof Ahlberg helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 67 minutes, Jan-Erik Wickander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Upphärad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Erik Wickander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Upphärad's goalkeeper Jonathan Vallman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tony Kihlman. In the 79thth minute of the game Jan-Erik Wickander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Västerljung's Freddie Wenerdahl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl Malmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Wenerdahl having to interfere. When Malcolm Nyström fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Upphärad's protests and gave Malcolm Nyström a yellow card for diving instead. Malcolm Nyström kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Västerljung's Daniel Nässén tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Karl Malmberg came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Upphärad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Malmberg couldn't finish the play. Elof Ahlberg hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Karl Malmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tony Kihlman came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Västerljung fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Kihlman couldn't finish the play. The Västerljung players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
