Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Hjo's Tor Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo-Erik Pil in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Säffle FK's Eddie Almstedt got a free kick in the 7th minute. Bengt-Åke Widberg's late challenge caught a Säffle FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt-Åke Widberg helped the player get up and apologised. Vincent Bergman came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Hjo's Joseph Hjeltman. But to his dismay, Joseph Hjeltman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Säffle FK's Bo-Erik Pil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tor Nordin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tor Nordin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Tholsson in the 22nd minute of the match. Gilbert Tholsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Säffle FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Egil Ahlerot scored to the left of an out of position Vincent Bergman, making the score, 2-1. If Bo-Erik Pil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilbert Tholsson to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egil Ahlerot in the 54th minute of play forced Säffle FK's goalkeeper Vincent Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Hjo's Tor Nordin got control of the ball when Bo-Erik Pil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Egil Ahlerot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Vincent Bergman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Bergman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Hjeltman in the 60th minute of play. Joseph Hjeltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Bergman having to interfere. In the 71st minute Egil Ahlerot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Bergman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Hjeltman in the 72nd minute of play. Gilbert Tholsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tor Nordin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Hjo getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Vidar Ahlström hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Säffle FK's Ingemar Lång broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gilbert Tholsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Säffle FK's goalkeeper Vincent Bergman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
