Sven-Erik Holm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Birger Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Sven-Erik Holm dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Birger Nyman, 1-0. In the 19th match minute, Kvibille IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Erik Holm to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Johnny Sikström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Linghem booed when Kvibille IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Walroth didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Kvibille IK's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Petersson came free, but Jonas Wester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Erik Holm struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Birger Nyman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kvibille IK. Tord Ekerot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Linghem's Leif Nilsson got a free kick in the 34th minute. Kvibille IK's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 36th minute of the game, when Albert Mikaelsson after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Linghem's goal. Albert Mikaelsson was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After having played for 48 minutes, Greger Petersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linghem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greger Petersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johnny Sikström made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Rickard Söderquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tord Ekerot scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Birger Nyman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Johnny Sikström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas Wester. That made the score 2-1 in the 61 minute of play. Jonas Wester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Sikström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Erik Holm might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birger Nyman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johnny Sikström in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Wester saved Kvibille IK from getting behind. After 81 played minutes Kvibille IK got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Bjurström. In the 82nd minute, Linghem's Johnny Sikström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Wester. Jonas Wester yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. 86 minutes into the match, Kvibille IK's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Sikström came free, but Jonas Wester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Wester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Sikström in the 90th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Bjurström during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Douglas Bjurström hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
