After 5 minutes, Birger Dahlquist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karlholmsbruk IFK and the Ånge players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Karlholmsbruk IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Dahlquist to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th match minute, Karlholmsbruk IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Säfström to maneuver through the defense. If Birger Dahlquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Carlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Mark Hjelm made a huge save. Birger Dahlquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Hjelm having to interfere. Mark Hjelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Dahlquist in the 16th minute of play. Karlholmsbruk IFK's Emanuel Caspersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximilian Lundblad in the 17th minute of play. Magnus Sjöö's late challenge caught a Karlholmsbruk IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magnus Sjöö helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Ånge:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Karlholmsbruk IFK:s goal. Bertil Säfström shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. A hard shot 30 in the game by Ivan Fågel from a close distance when the talented Mark Hjelm managed to make a qualified save. Ånge's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Maximilian Lundblad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Caspersson was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. With a little luck, Ånge's Mark Hjelm got control of the ball when Brian Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Karlholmsbruk IFK's Birger Dahlquist in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mark Hjelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Carlsson in the 46th minute of play. Mark Hjelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Dahlquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Birger Dahlquist made a kick off. Ånge's Mark Hjelm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Dahlquist in the 51st minute of play. Ivan Fågel hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Maximilian Lundblad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emanuel Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils-Emil Pettersson's late challenge caught a Karlholmsbruk IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Emil Pettersson helped the player get up and apologised. Sven-Erik Kilman hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. During the 66th minute of the match Kennet Kihlberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kennet Kihlberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 77th match minute, Ånge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Erik Kilman to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Brian Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karlholmsbruk IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Carlsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Hjelm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karlholmsbruk IFK's Evert Bremming got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Hjelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Brian Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ånge's zone, Ivan Fågel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Hjelm came out of the goal and Ivan Fågel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Brian Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Carlsson in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Hjelm saved Ånge from getting behind.
