Karl-Ove Askestät fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Wennerqvist having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Billdal BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Kaxe to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 21 in the game by Jack Bröms from a close distance when the talented Börje Spets managed to make a qualified save. Skottorp FK's players were relieved. 23 minutes into the game, Ola Hammarbäck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Billdal BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skottorp FK the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Billdal BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ola Hammarbäck to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes Billdal BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wiktor Holmgren who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Sefastsson in the 29th minute of play forced Billdal BK's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Karl-Ove Askestät made a precise shot to the right of Sven-Olof Wennerqvist. Billdal BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Bröms got free with Börje Spets in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joakim Kellberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Börje Spets. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joakim Kellberg ran back to his position shaking his head. If Knut Sefastsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joakim Kellberg in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börje Spets saved Skottorp FK from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Stig-Ove Stabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Billdal BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Ove Stabbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börje Spets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the match, Billdal BK's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Wennerqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Ove Askestät. Karl-Ove Askestät took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Olof Wennerqvist. Sven-Olof Wennerqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Billdal BK's Sven-Olof Wennerqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Sefastsson in the 70th minute of play. Jack Bröms took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Börje Spets. Börje Spets dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Joakim Kellberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Börje Spets. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joakim Kellberg ran back to his position shaking his head. When Skottorp FK's Knut Sefastsson in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Billdal BK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 83rd minute, Knut Sefastsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Olof Wennerqvist was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Knut Sefastsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Knut Sefastsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Charles Almqvist struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Sven-Olof Wennerqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skottorp FK. After having played for 96 minutes, Stig-Ove Stabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Billdal BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Ove Stabbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Skottorp FK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
