After a rather tough play, Billdal BK's Stig-Ove Stabbe got a free kick in the 6th minute. Billdal BK's Sven-Olof Wennerqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesper Molin in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Billdal BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jesper Molin came free, but Sven-Olof Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesper Molin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Wennerqvist having to interfere. A collision led to Uddevalla RK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gösta Walmarsson hit a great ball. Anton Fredriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Sven-Olof Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Uddevalla RK's Börge Wallgren got control of the ball when Jack Bröms tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
