Risbäck FF's Christian Malm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Risbäck FF from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Wennersten in the 18th minute of play forced Risbäck FF's goalkeeper Christian Malm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Måns Melander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Emanuel Valström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Hellsing's late challenge caught a Risbäck FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Wennersten to make the kick off. Emanuel Valström acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tommy Henriksson. Billy Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Valström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Risbäck FF's Christian Malm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Hedin in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Risbäck FF's goalkeeper Christian Malm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Rickard Vennersten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Risbäck FF got a freekick which was hit by Leif Smefeldt. In the 69th minute of the match Tom Tunander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Malm skillfully saved the ball. Håkan Hedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Malm having to interfere.
