Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Norberg BF's Walter Björck started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frank Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Åkesson in the 15th minute of play forced Norberg BF's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Norberg BF's zone, Frank Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Oskar Engström came out of the goal and Frank Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Frank Åkesson came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Vartofta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Åkesson couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Patrik Andersson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Norberg BF's Per-Oskar Engström. Per-Oskar Engström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kåre Pedersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Oskar Engström having to interfere. Kåre Pedersson charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kåre Pedersson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kåre Pedersson hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vartofta booed when Norberg BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Mossberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Norberg BF's zone, Algot Blom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Oskar Engström came out of the goal and Algot Blom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per-Oskar Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Åkesson in the 43rd minute of play. In the 48th minute, Lukas Lång hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The nice shot from Philip Nordlund in the 84thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Erik Engman had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After a rather tough play, Vartofta's Lukas Lång got a free kick in the 94th minute. Erik Engman made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Philip Nordlund sent off a good shot on target.
