The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gottfrid Wiberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 8 minutes into the game, Viggo Nyqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joar Söder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matthias Bank took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Larsfält. Tim Larsfält dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Viggo Nyqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joar Söder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viggo Nyqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gottfrid Wiberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joar Söder having to interfere. Erling Ros hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Thomas Bållström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tim Larsfält. Sävsjö BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Oskar Olsman to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the game, Jens-Åke Alén landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The supporters of Lannavaara IF booed when Sävsjö BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarl Tingelholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Matthias Bank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viggo Nyqvist in the 59th minute of play forced Lannavaara IF's goalkeeper Joar Söder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viggo Nyqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Joar Söder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viggo Nyqvist in the 62nd minute of play forced Lannavaara IF's goalkeeper Joar Söder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viggo Nyqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 71 minutes, Gottfrid Wiberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sävsjö BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gottfrid Wiberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matthias Bank's late challenge caught a Sävsjö BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthias Bank helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Lannavaara IF got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Bank. Viggo Nyqvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. Sävsjö BK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Joar Söder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viggo Nyqvist in the 77th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Lannavaara IF got a freekick which was hit by Per-Olof Albäck. Gottfrid Wiberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Joar Söder made a huge save. After having played for 82 minutes, Gottfrid Wiberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sävsjö BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gottfrid Wiberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gottfrid Wiberg struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Joar Söder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sävsjö BK. Lannavaara IF's Matthias Bank got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gottfrid Wiberg struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Joar Söder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sävsjö BK. Lannavaara IF's Joar Söder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viggo Nyqvist in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Gottfrid Wiberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matthias Bank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tim Larsfält tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sävsjö BK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Lannavaara IF from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
