After having played for 81 minutes, Tomas Enström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ucklum RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Enström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Erik Ekberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egon Pihlwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Jonatan Törnblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Sven-Erik Gunnarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Arne Bålström's late challenge caught a Mariestad IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
