Christer Sandberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Sävedalen IK's Linus Smed nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Modig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 19 played minutes Jokkmokk got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Bergman. Christer Sandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Lind having to interfere. Dan Modig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Gummeson in the 24th minute of play. Jokkmokk's Bengt Bergman got his second yellow card of the match in the 26th minute. The referee ordered Bengt Bergman off the ground. In the 28th minute of the match Kjell-Arne Hallgren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dan Modig skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rickard Gummeson to make the kick off. Boris Svanström hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Linus Smed kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Christer Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Christer Sandberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jokkmokk's supporters rose to their feet, but Christer Sandberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joachim Lind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Erling Friberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christer Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Joachim Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sävedalen IK's Joachim Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Sandberg in the 78th minute of play. Jonas Beck hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sävedalen IK's zone, Christer Sandberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Lind came out of the goal and Christer Sandberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st match minute, Sävedalen IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erling Friberger to maneuver through the defense. If Christer Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 minutes of play Sävedalen IK's Stig-Åke Vall was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Jokkmokk booed when Sävedalen IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Vall didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Sandberg in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joachim Lind saved Sävedalen IK from getting behind. Linus Smed's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Modig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Christer Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Joachim Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sävedalen IK's Erling Friberger got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sävedalen IK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
