Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fritz Blomqvist took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Motala booed when Sommen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Löfkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Alberg in the 13th minute of play forced Motala's goalkeeper Joel Klint to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Motala's Joseph Ersman got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Olov Vase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jakob Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jakob Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fritz Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kristoffer Alberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Sommen's goalkeeper Jakob Martinsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olov Vase. 47 minutes into the game, one of Motala:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
In the 59th minute Fritz Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakob Martinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fritz Blomqvist in the 60th minute of play forced Sommen's goalkeeper Jakob Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fritz Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Vase in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jakob Martinsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Karl Bokelund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute, one of Motala:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Motala. The goalkeeper, Joel Klint, was totally fooled by Sommen's Börje Drake, who 101 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sommen eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
