The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience cheered when Egil Fagerberg's long shot passed Valter Arenberg's right side. It was 1-0, 11 minutes into the match. If Joakim Larsfält had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerry Sjödin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Larsfält, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Joakim Larsfält fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Sjödin having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Överturingen's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Larsfält came free, but Jerry Sjödin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Östra Ämtervik getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Axel Hedvall hit a great ball. Kent Offendahl's late challenge caught a Överturingen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kent Offendahl helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Östra Ämtervik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Offendahl to maneuver through the defense. Östra Ämtervik's Valter Arenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Linqvist in the 31st minute of play. George Forsman hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Joakim Larsfält sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Östra Ämtervik's goalkeeper Valter Arenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikael Viberg. Jerry Sjödin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Larsfält in the 47th minute of play. William Hellkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jerry Sjödin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Malte Linqvist scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valter Arenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. William Hellkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Valter Arenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Linqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Överturingen's goalkeeper couldn't reach when William Hellkvist 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Mikael Viberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Valter Arenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute of the match, William Hellkvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jerry Sjödin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 84 minutes into the game, Joakim Larsfält cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Jerry Sjödin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valter Arenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Viberg in the 89th minute of the match. Valter Arenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Viberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Mikael Viberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
