Victor Vennersten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Nordgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Dick Jönsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrik Ekerot did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Uno Vallin 25 minutes into the match. Dick Jönsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Victor Vennersten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Per-Olof Westerberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Överum BK and the Storseleby players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Överum BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Olof Westerberg to maneuver through the defense. Victor Vennersten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Nordgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aaron Nordgren came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Storseleby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Nordgren couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Storseleby's Dick Jönsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Vennersten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Storseleby's goalkeeper Uno Vallin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernst Engström. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrik Ekerot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrik Ekerot's late challenge caught a Storseleby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrik Ekerot helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Storseleby booed when Överum BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Ekerot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrik Ekerot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Uno Vallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Patrik Ekerot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uno Vallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Storseleby's Dick Jönsson got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Ernst Engström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 77 minutes, Egon Fågel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Storseleby and the Överum BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egon Fågel hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the game, Magne Pihlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Storseleby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Överum BK the free kick. In the 85th minute, Patrik Ekerot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roy Söderberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Överum BK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
