Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jonas Ström took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Karlstad IK's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Ström came free, but Vidar Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Staffan Berggren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Vidar Åhlberg made a huge save. Ekeby BK's Staffan Berggren got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Karlstad IK's Dag Lindman got a free kick in the 19th minute. Karlstad IK's Vidar Åhlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Karlstad IK from getting a goal against them. When Jonas Ström came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ekeby BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Ström couldn't finish the play. When Evert Gustafsson fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekeby BK's protests and gave Evert Gustafsson a yellow card for diving instead. Vidar Åhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Ström in the 33rd minute of the match. Harry Fogel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Siöman in the 35th minute of the match. Staffan Berggren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Fogel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Siöman went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Ekeby BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Karlstad IK were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vilgot Nyberg to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Nyberg in the 57th minute of play forced Ekeby BK's goalkeeper Harry Fogel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Fogel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Nyberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Staffan Berggren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vidar Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Staffan Berggren in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vidar Åhlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Staffan Berggren sped through Karlstad IK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vidar Åhlberg. If Vilgot Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ekeby BK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Börge Haraldsson hit a great ball. When Staffan Berggren came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ekeby BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Staffan Berggren couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes Ekeby BK got a freekick which was hit by Börge Haraldsson. 86 minutes into the match, Ekeby BK's goalkeeper Harry Fogel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gösta Siöman. Staffan Berggren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Vidar Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Jens-Erik Eskilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ekeby BK's Johannes Örn got a free kick in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
