After 3 played minutes Backe IK got a freekick which was hit by Andréas Lundin. After recieving a nice pass, Borlänge's Daniel Josefsson tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Borlänge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viggo Gunnarsson to maneuver through the defense. Richard Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Askestät in the 11th minute of play. Sebastian Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Olsson in the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Martin Askestät had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Berg. Borlänge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Askestät was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Henry Bäckström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Martin Askestät might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Berg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Askestät ran back to his position shaking his head. Henry Bäckström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Bäckström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sebastian Nordström made a huge save. When Borlänge's Aaron Olsson in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Backe IK's goalie prevented a goal. Henry Bäckström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sebastian Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Olsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Borlänge's Henry Bäckström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Nordström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Martin Askestät sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edward Malmberg came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Backe IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Malmberg couldn't finish the play. Martin Askestät received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Richard Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Bäckström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Olsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Nordström having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Edward Malmberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Berg was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Edward Malmberg fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Richard Berg, passed just outside the right post. Sebastian Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Olsson in the 95th minute of the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Martin Askestät managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Backe IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Askestät was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Backe IK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
