After 26 played minutes Gullspång got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Bäckman . 27 minutes into the match, Simon Asklund sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Conny Vallmark threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Simon Asklund this time. Filip Salkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Brask having to interfere. Kåre Söderström struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Robert Brask didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gullspång. Patric Granström hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Kåre Söderström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Brask saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Johnny Bivall could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Conny Vallmark however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Berglund in the 41st minute of play forced Gullspång's goalkeeper Conny Vallmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gullspång's Conny Vallmark proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Gullspång from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in Gullspång's zone, Hans Berglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conny Vallmark came out of the goal and Hans Berglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 played minutes Gårdsjö got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Ahlberg. Kåre Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Robert Brask tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conny Vallmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Söderström in the 86th minute of play forced Gårdsjö's goalkeeper Robert Brask to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Salkvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Gullspång's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Conny Vallmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gårdsjö fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gullspång had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
