An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Ekgren in the 14th minute of play forced Holmsveden BK's goalkeeper Karl Vallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gert Ekgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Karl Vallengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holmsveden BK's Karl Vallengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Ekgren in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Douglas Lindström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holmsveden BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Lindström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesper Olsson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to Linderöd IK getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Axel Stabbe hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Douglas Lindström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronny Wall. Linderöd IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Douglas Lindström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Börje Kilström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Wall having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Kilström in the 39th minute of play forced Linderöd IK's goalkeeper Ronny Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ronny Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Douglas Lindström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Holmsveden BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rolf Wallmark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Vallengren having to interfere. 53 minutes into the match, Holmsveden BK's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Ekgren came free, but Karl Vallengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Börje Kilström came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Holmsveden BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Kilström couldn't finish the play. Jesper Olsson was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 60 played minutes Holmsveden BK got a freekick which was hit by Jesper Olsson. Gert Ekgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Wallmark in the 64th minute of play forced Holmsveden BK's goalkeeper Karl Vallengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linderöd IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Holmsveden BK's Bo Bocklund got a free kick in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Holmsveden BK's zone, Rolf Wallmark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Vallengren came out of the goal and Rolf Wallmark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Douglas Lindström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Douglas Lindström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmsveden BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Lindström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Wall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl Vallengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Wallmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holmsveden BK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
