Alfons Fernkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrik Skog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfons Fernkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulrik Skog's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Graninge's zone, Hannes Matsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inge Ålberg came out of the goal and Hannes Matsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inge Ålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidar Friberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Graninge's Ulrik Skog got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Graninge's Ulrik Skog in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tived's goalie prevented a goal. Alfons Fernkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Skog in the 22nd minute of play. Karl Lindqvist hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Dan Winström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inge Ålberg skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Tived booed when Graninge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Törnblom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vidar Friberger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute Hannes Matsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Ålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vidar Friberger in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inge Ålberg saved Graninge from getting behind. With his leg Alfons Fernkvist managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Graninge's Ulf Löfgren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 42nd minute Ulrik Skog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Fernkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tived's Karl-Erik Landin got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When Ulf Löfgren came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Graninge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Löfgren couldn't finish the play. Vidar Friberger might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inge Ålberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vidar Friberger ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vidar Friberger made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Hannes Matsson made a precise shot to the right of Inge Ålberg. Graninge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vidar Friberger was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ulrik Skog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfons Fernkvist having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Ulrik Skog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Graninge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulrik Skog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute of the game, Fredrik Nässén landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 73rd match minute, Graninge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per Bremming to maneuver through the defense. Hannes Matsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Inge Ålberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ulf Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfons Fernkvist having to interfere. If Ulrik Skog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulrik Skog in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfons Fernkvist saved Tived from getting behind. Tived's Alfons Fernkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Skog in the 86th minute of play. Alfons Fernkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Löfgren in the 89th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Vidar Friberger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tived and the Graninge players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Tived was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidar Friberger to maneuver through the defense. Alfons Fernkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulf Löfgren went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
