Mikael Bergkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincent Lundqvist in the 7th minute. With his leg Mikael Bergkvist managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Alstermo IFK's Vincent Lundqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gottfrid Utter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Andreas Pilgren elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Vilgot Axelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Pilgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gottfrid Utter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utö IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gottfrid Utter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vilgot Axelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vilgot Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Pilgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Gottfrid Utter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilgot Axelsson having to interfere. Andreas Pilgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alstermo IFK's Vilgot Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Utter in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gottfrid Utter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilgot Axelsson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dennis Alebäck in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikael Bergkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andreas Pilgren's late challenge caught a Alstermo IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andreas Pilgren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Utö IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Pilgren to maneuver through the defense. After 74 minutes, Nils-Erik Olsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Utö IF and the Alstermo IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nils-Erik Olsson kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of Alstermo IFK booed when Utö IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Erik Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Alebäck in the 77th minute of play forced Utö IF's goalkeeper Mikael Bergkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Utö IF defense, Dennis Alebäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikael Bergkvist. The Utö IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikael Bergkvist should have stopped the shot. Vincent Lundqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Bergkvist having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Ivar Billvall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alstermo IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Utö IF the free kick. Ivar Billvall kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Utö IF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
