Patrick Jansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Börje Hjortberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingemar Mellin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Ström in the 30th minute of play forced Hanaskog BF's goalkeeper Lennart Wennersten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lennart Wennersten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timmy Ström's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Jan-Olof Hjälm hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Horndal BF's zone, Eric Kjellberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börje Hjortberg came out of the goal and Eric Kjellberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jack Örn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Eric Kjellberg came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Hanaskog BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Kjellberg couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the game, Sten Lindholm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hanaskog BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horndal BF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Hanaskog BF's Sten Lindholm got a free kick in the 55th minute. Horndal BF's Börje Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Kjellberg in the 59th minute of play. Lennart Wennersten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timmy Ström, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64thth minute of the game Timmy Ström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hanaskog BF's Lennart Wennersten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lennart Wennersten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmy Ström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Hanaskog BF getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jack Örn hit a great ball. Lennart Wennersten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joar Åman in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Joar Åman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lennart Wennersten was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Horndal BF's Börje Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Kjellberg in the 76th minute of play. Börje Hjortberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Kjellberg in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Patrick Jansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Eric Kjellberg rounded Horndal BF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Timmy Ström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Wennersten having to interfere. Karl-Ove Nyberg charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Ove Nyberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Timmy Ström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Wennersten having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
