Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Deckberg got the match started through his kick off. Torpsbruk RK's Herbert Vennersten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Deckberg in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Lars Bäcklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Björn Trulsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Esbjörnsson in the 10th minute of play forced Dals Långed's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Torpsbruk RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 35 minutes into the match, Bengt-Åke Öberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herbert Vennersten. Torpsbruk RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bengt-Åke Öberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 45th minute, Torpsbruk RK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Axel Deckberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Herbert Vennersten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Deckberg in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Torpsbruk RK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Esbjörnsson to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dals Långed's zone, Björn Trulsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Ola Arvidsson came out of the goal and Björn Trulsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Torpsbruk RK's Björn Esbjörnsson in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dals Långed's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torpsbruk RK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Dals Långed's Bengt-Rune Nyman got a free kick in the 68th minute. Björn Esbjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Dals Långed's zone, Björn Trulsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Ola Arvidsson came out of the goal and Björn Trulsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Björn Esbjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jens-Ola Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bengt-Åke Öberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Vennersten was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Jens-Ola Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Vallmark in the 87th minute of play. Göran Vallmark charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göran Vallmark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Alfons Berg came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Dals Långed fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfons Berg couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Åke Öberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torpsbruk RK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
