Dals Långed's Bengt-Åke Öberg got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Friberger's late challenge caught a Dals Långed's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ted Friberger helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Skärblacka IFK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Bengt-Åke Öberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens-Ola Arvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Alstedt in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Lang got free with Jens-Ola Arvidsson in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Alstedt in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Ola Arvidsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bengt-Åke Öberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrik Grönlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfons Berg during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Dals Långed got a freekick which was hit by Alfons Berg. 43 minutes into the match, Skärblacka IFK's Richard Morat broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dals Långed's zone, Lucas Lang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Ola Arvidsson came out of the goal and Lucas Lang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute Kurt Alstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Deckberg was the one to do the kick off. Dals Långed's Jens-Ola Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Alstedt in the 55th minute of play.
