The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Örjan Allbom in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johan Ström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Magnusson in the 15th minute of play forced Krokom RK's goalkeeper Johan Ström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hällefors IFK's Sven-Ove Vennersten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kåre Pihlwall in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Krokom RK booed when Hällefors IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ove Ahlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johan Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Magnusson in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Hällefors IFK's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Vennersten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kåre Pihlwall. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hällefors IFK's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Vennersten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kåre Pihlwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Ove Vennersten having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Kåre Pihlwall recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sven-Ove Vennersten. Kåre Pihlwall showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Sven-Ove Vennersten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Andreasson in the 38th minute of the match. Hällefors IFK's Sven-Ove Vennersten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Hällefors IFK from getting a goal against them. Billy Magnusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Ström having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The Hällefors IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Ove Vennersten should have stopped the shot. Billy Magnusson succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Walter Ahlstedt struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Johan Ström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hällefors IFK. 91 minutes into the match, Krokom RK's goalkeeper Johan Ström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Allbom. 94 minutes into the match, Hällefors IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Andreasson came free, but Sven-Ove Vennersten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hällefors IFK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sivert Wallin in the 99th minute. The corner led Hällefors IFK's Sivert Wallin to fire away a dangerous shot which Johan Ström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
