George Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Nordström, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. A collision led to Ursviken getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jan-Ove Klemensson hit a great ball. Jan-Ove Klemensson's late challenge caught a Husum BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Hans Henriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Brander was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Bertil Nordström put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of George Brander.
