In the 4th minute, Vollsjö's Robert Malm seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Robert Malm the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vollsjö protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Robert Malm had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Kim Åström might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sten Rudqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kim Åström ran back to his position shaking his head. Sune Forssell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sten Rudqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Skene's zone, David Björk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Rudqvist came out of the goal and David Björk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, Jonatan Fribäck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bo Öberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pontus Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Öberg having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Sune Forssell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vollsjö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skene the free kick. Sune Forssell kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Bo Öberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fritz Brummer. Pontus Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pontus Samuelsson to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonatan Fribäck during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vollsjö booed when Skene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Fribäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Vollsjö's Erling Axelsson made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Rudqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bo Öberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Fribäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sten Rudqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erling Axelsson in the 61st minute. Kim Åström charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kim Åström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes, Skene's Fritz Brummer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bo Öberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skene reached it. Skene's Pontus Samuelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Erling Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vollsjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Erling Axelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Rudqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erling Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erling Axelsson struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sten Rudqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vollsjö. Bo Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pontus Samuelsson in the 82nd minute of play. After 82 minutes, David Björk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vollsjö and the Skene players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Vollsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Björk to maneuver through the defense. Bo Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Fribäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bo Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pontus Samuelsson in the 89th minute of play.
